“I love you. I promise you don’t need to worry about anybody else stealing my heart because there is no competition. You won a long time ago.”
― Heather Ostler, The Shapeshifter’s Secret

Julia like any other 16-year-old, has problems. One of these many problems is that she is more then human. She can do fantastic and wonderful things, that no one seems to understand. Julia’s father is overly protective, and rightfully so. As a Shapeshifter, she will need all the protection she needs. It’s not safe for her here.
Julia quickly finds herself moving to a castle. Her new school is full of normal things including (but not limited to) cliques, gossip, and loads of homework. Still it is eating away at Julia to find out more about her absent mother. It may not be in her best interest now to find out. Can Julia figure out what is going on, even with her father trying so hard to shield her from all the imperfections and problems at the castle?
